The Oceanside Union Free School District operates 10 schools consisting of over 900,000 sq. ft. of interior space and 105 acres of land. The facilities are managed and maintained by the District’s Buildings & Grounds (B&G) Department.
Multi-Year Capital Improvement Plan

FEMA-Funded Maintenance & Storage Facility at School 9
FEMA awarded the District a grant to build a structure located at the site of the 9M portable units which were destroyed during Super Storm Sandy. The award is a “not-to-exceed” reimbursement in the amount of $2,252,818. Funds will be used to construct a storage and maintenance facility. Contractors have been selected through the public bid process and construction should commence (weather permitting) December 2017 and conclude by August 31, 2018.
