National Nutrition Week is celebrated this year during the week of March 11-15. It focuses attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating patterns. During this week the Oceanside Schools Food Services program will be serving a variety of foods new to our menu in hopes that the students will taste test some of these new items. The Food Services Department will also be giving stickers to students who participate in the taste test and it is open to all students regardless of whether they purchase a lunch or not.
In addition, the District will be distributing the Oceanside U.F.S.D. Nutrition Committee's Snacking Cookbook, which is a cookbook for healthy snacking; it combines illustrations with healthy recipes for all families to enjoy! Please find cookbook here.
