Below you will find some of the valuable resources available through the Guidance Department and on the Internet to help guide you through the college application, visit, and final selection process.
 

Naviance: Family Connection
The Oceanside High School Guidance Department is pleased to introduce Family Connection from Naviance, a web-based service designed especially for 11th and 12th grade students.  Family Connection will allow you and your child to get involved in the planning and advising process, research colleges, and sign up for college visits.  Registration codes for current 11th grade students will be mailed home for the first time in October of 2009.  If you have further questions about Family Connection, please contact your son/daughter’s guidance counselor.

 

Guidance Direct

Career connections from Guidance Direct is an interactive online college and career planning resource where students can… find colleges and scholarships that meet their needs and preferences… take a validated career interest assessment… and much more. Please see your guidance counselor for the school code and password required to enter the site.

 

Global Computing
This is a web site with links to American Colleges and universities. Colleges are listed alphabetically and by state. The web site also has government and business links.

 

My College Options
My College Options is a free service which provides a well organized college search function and permits students to access information on individual colleges. My College Options is a division of Sallie Mae

 

S.C.A.L.E. Program of C. W. Post University
This site is an overview of the S.C.A.L.E. Program of C.W. Post University. It includes a link to the list of colleges which have recognized C. W. Post S.C.A.L.E. credits for transfer.
